Who We Are

e-Sci Corporation was founded in 1999, by individuals with long experience in systems engineering and software development. We have experience in working with Government, Corporate, and Educational institutions. This includes DoD, NASA, and other government agencies. We have conducted collaborative research with the University of Maryland in the areas of Scientific Data Systems, and Data Visualization. We have excellent communication skills and have people well versed in proposal and grant writing. E-Sci is a woman and minority owned business with a pool of diverse talents.



Sushma Kulkarni - Chief Executive Officer/Founder
Sushma Kulkarni has over twenty years of experience in the field of enterprise architecture development, including software design, development, and deployment. Her focus has been to design, and implement enterprise applications providing solutions for E-commerce and workplace management in business and government using the latest J2EE technologies. She has extensive experience in the processes of complete software development life cycle and software engineering principles. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.


Robert G. Brewer - President/Chief Operating Officer
Robert (Bob) Brewer has over twenty-five years experience managing large-scale systems engineering and information technology programs within the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security and within the Intelligence Community.

Formerly, Vice President/Director, Advanced Systems at SETA Corporation, McLean, VA, Mr. Brewer’s Federal clients included; Joint Staff, J-8, where he directly managed forty (40) IT engineers and Military Analysts providing modeling and simulation support services, military campaign planning development and analysis, network infrastructure support, software development, and program management and acquisition support services; Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), where he directly managed thirty six (36) IT systems engineers providing a broad range of IT infrastructure support services, including VTC services to SPAWAR Code 08 (CIO); Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), where he directly managed sixty (60) IT systems engineers providing network engineering and systems administration support services, software development, and program management and acquisition support services. Other major clients included the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) – GCCS systems development support and DISN Global systems engineering support services; Customs and Border Protection (CBP) - Software IV&V & Testing and Configuration Management; and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) – Programmatic IV&V support services.

A retired senior Naval Officer with major combatant ship command experience, he is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Army War College. He holds advanced degrees in National Security Affairs and Business Administration.


Ravi Kulkarni - Executive Vice President/Chief Technology Officer 
Ravi Kulkarni has over 20 yrs experience providing IT and systems engineering support services to Federal, State, and Local clients. He has notable experience providing support services to joint R&D efforts with various Research Institutions. He has broad experience using current software technologies to develop enterprise solutions including J2EE and UML and in the providing systems design and domain experience in 3D data visualization, data warehousing, telecommunications and network management. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland.
