Description:

 

 

e-Sci Corporation is seeking a mid to senior software developer for a program that provides large scale development, testing, deployment and O&M for the Intelligence Community. This position is located in Reston, VA.

 

 

The software developer will require a background in the development, integration and testing of custom application code in order to craft a solution for our customer. Candidate should have experience with the integration and customization of COTS applications, graphical databases, database calls utilizing PHP and REST APis, familiarity with RHEL and CENTOS operating systems, and be familiar cloud computing technology and concepts. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work with minimal supervision, taking initiative for assigned tasks and will be able to troubleshoot and isolate problems quickly, presenting findings in a clear and efficient manner.

 

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn new skills using both open source software and customer developed tools. The opportunity will expose the developer to key technologies supporting data management involving collection, processing, transformation, storage, and analytics. The developer will help in crafting a solution that involves Big Data, streaming analytics, and graph databases. Experience with Neo4j, MongoDB graphical databases is preferred.

 

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience is required with a Bachelor's degree, 3 years with a

Master's degree, 9 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

 

A minimum of9 years of experience is required with Bachelors degree, 7 with a Master's degree, 13 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

 

US citizenship and an Active/Current TS/SCI Clearance  required. Candidate may also be required to successfully complete a CI Polygraph.

Candidates must be experienced in Java and PHP development to include designing, coding and debugging of web applications.

Experience with REST API

Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must have some familiarity of Linux and/or CentOS systems.

Experience with documentation/bug tracking tools (i.e. GIT, Redmine, Subversion, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Experience within the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) domain highly desired. Active/Current Polygraph

Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Experience with Neo4J Graphical Database

Hands-on experience with GIT and/Redmine source code and bug tracking management
