Description:

 

e-Sci Corporation is seeking a mid to senior Oracle DBA/Developer for a program that provides large scale development, testing, deployment and O&M for the Intelligence Community. As the Oracle DBA/Developer, you will work closely with a team to modernize and migrate a web-based application to enable the customer to best support their missions and achieve their goals.

 

 

The individual will work with members of a diverse project team and participate in the design, development and administration of an Oracle database for a web-based application that will run on an enterprise application platform. Excellent communication and coordination skills are required to effectively collaborate with the team, customers, and the enterprise platform service providers. This position is located in Herndon or Charlottesville, VA. Other locations may be considered.

Basic Qualifications:

Level3

A Bachelor's degree is required with 6 years of experience, 4 additional years of

experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Level4

A Bachelor's degree is required with 10 years of experience, 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

US citizenship is required.

Active/current Top Secret/SCI and active CI Polygraph.

Experience interpreting existing data models and creating models for new databases.

Experience working with software and systems engineers to collect requirements

and translate those into database models. Knowledge of fine tuning and database replication

Experience providing database support to application developers.

Experience with Oracle  databases and database programming

Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

On-the-job experience with NoSQL platforms and tools, such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, TitanDB, or Accumulo.

Experience or familiarity with PostGreSQL.

Experience or interest in any of the following technologies: SQL, XML, Mongo

DB, Apache Thrift

Experience in "cloud"/big data based technologies: AWS, Hadoop, Cloudera, Storm, Accumulo, HBase, Hive, Pig, or Zookeeper.

Knowledge of one or more of the following toolsets: IntelliJ, Bugzilla, Redmine,

Git, JIRA.
