Description:

 

e-Sci Corporation is seeking a mid to senior software test engineer for a program that provides large scale development, testing, deployment and O&M for the Intelligence Community. The selected candidate will provide software testing services in support of an enterprise-enabled Java web application used throughout various environments and domains.

 

Candidate will be responsible for developing, updating and maintain testing toolsets, test cases, use case scenarios, working with developers to diagnose application problems, supporting production environments and maintaining test and systems plans, scripts and documentation. Candidate would also be working with functional subject matter experts developing and writing functional specifications. This position is located in Herndon or Charlottesville, VA, though other locations may be considered.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot and complete problem reports in a detailed manner.

• Write automated test scripts, test plans, test cases and test procedures.

• Write and maintain test scripts based on requirements or test cases received.

• Perform requirements analysis and apply technical knowledge to design, write test plans, execute and debug test cases.

• Must possess the ability to integrate the whole picture including Functional, Regression, Stress, and Load Testing

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

A minimum of 5 years' experience is required with a Bachelor's degree. 4 years may be considered in lieu of degree.

US citizenship is required.

Willingness and ability to be processed for TS/SCI Clearance is required. Candidate may also be required to successfully complete a CI Polygraph.

Must have proven experience with the various aspects of software testing such as inspection, code review, integration, verification, regression and acceptance testing.

Experience with at least one of the following toolsets: Selenium, Quick Test

Professional, Test Wizard, Test Director, Bugzilla, Redmine, Git, Mercury, PVCS, Apache or Tomcat.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Successful experience working with a geographically distributed team.

Proven testing experience on projects involving migration and modernization of existing applications.
